With a circulation that at times passed seven million, Look was a popular general interest magazine produced in the USA, but widely read in Australia and around the world.
Published fortnightly in a large format, and usually numbering 100 plus pages, Look contains a great balance of in-depth articles and photojournalism, covering everything from celebrity personalities and current affairs to fashion, home and lifestyle advice.
Issues of Look from the 50s and 60s contain some of the best examples of American and Western sentiment at the height of the cold war, featuring a high level of bold, colour advertising indicative of an exploding consumer culture.
